Call for papers

How to submit

Each speaker will thus have the opportunity to highlight (apparent or underlying) functionality of the application of their choice that belongs to the
or spiritual field. It may be relevant to show how this functionality is applied to different different applications of the field according to the requirements of each religion.

The list of possible functionalities to be studied has not been decided. However, we propose here a first mapping in which your proposal could fit into.

  1. Prayer, meditation (the user is asked to perform an action, often guided by audio content).

  2. Mediation, sharing a teaching (access to a catalogue of theoretical or doctrinal content).

  3. Geolocation (link between the digital and physical experience of religion, for example e.g. by listing nearby places of worship).

  4. Community (the organisation of sociability within the app).

  5. Temporalities : following a teaching, a live ceremony (live videos or audios), to practice (the role of notifications), organizing moments of disconnection to detach from the smartphone.

Proposals must be submitted by 30 June 2021 to the following address:

apps.spirituelles@gmail.com

Please send us a document containing your paper proposal to this e-mail address of a maximum length of 5,000 characters including spaces (including name, first name, institutional affiliation, title, abstract and some bibliographical references).

Notification of acceptance will be sent after 15 July 2021. The publication of a journal dossier from the study day is envisaged.
